Toll of the Bells

"The Toll of the Bells" HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody !!! The sound of a New Year 2017. This painting I painted somewhere between 2001-2013 as part of my Spiritual Hubcap Series. I was inspired by a brass Tibetan bell that my family had and combined that with a vision in my minds eye from being told that my Mother rang a bell out the window on a clear sunny day because she read in the Tibetan book of the dead this was a way to attract an old soul when you are ready to conceive... she said she felt me arrive that night in California. I feel lucky to have come from her and my father and so blessed to be here together on this planet of interesting and fascinating people all with different stories filled with ideas and plans for how to kick off the beginning of a fresh New Year. Hopefully, World problems can be worked out some more and things will get better for everyone as the Earth family evolves into a less dysfunctional mess making the best of our lives knowing tough love is required so as to not destroy ourselves... which might have happened once before millions of years ago who knows for sure... but here we are so let's work it out! 2017 a time to Rock n Roll, make friends and watch your back :) LOVE
